Information the extension accesses
- YouTube page data needed to power extension features, such as video titles, descriptions, tags, channel names, thumbnails, view counts, and other visible metadata.
- User prompts and inputs submitted through ToolGenie features, including title, description, tag, script, SEO, competitor, analytics, and thumbnail-generation requests.
- Authentication and account state needed to determine whether a user is signed in and what plan or credit balance applies.
- Extension-local settings and UI state stored in browser extension storage, such as preferences, panel state, and recent tool history.
- Cookies required to maintain authenticated requests between the extension and ToolGenie web services.
How information is used
- To analyze YouTube content and return SEO scores, content suggestions, competitor insights, analytics, transcripts, and thumbnail outputs.
- To authenticate users and associate requests with the correct ToolGenie account.
- To preserve extension settings and improve continuity between sessions.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve ToolGenie services.
How information is shared
- Data entered into ToolGenie features and relevant YouTube metadata may be sent to ToolGenie services at app.toolgenie.io and api.toolgenie.io in order to fulfill user requests.
- The extension does not sell personal information.
- Information may be shared with service providers only when necessary to operate ToolGenie functionality.
